The final changing of the guard at the Memorial Against Fascism in East Berlin as East and West Germany are reunited on this night.

Large crowds gathered for the event, nearly one year after the Berlin Wall was opened allowing East Germans to travel freely to the West. By October 1990 almost nothing remained of the wall.
