New Orleans, Louisiana.USA.September 28, 2005 ..At the exact point where the levy broke in New Orleans' lower 9th district Michael LaGarde, 33 years old, finds what remains of his home ... a mound of dirt and a few small items pushed aside by a massive barge that came through the levy when it broke...He was born and raised in this house and lived with his 3 children in the house before the hurricane and flood took it away. His grandparents built the house in 1940. It was 65 years old...The broken levy is just behind him and the barge where is home once was as he strolls through the streets he once knew intimately.
