New York, New York
November 10, 2011
In shin, elbow and shoulder pads, hockey pants, gloves, jerseys and tennis shoes while carrying skates, sticks and helmets the Carolina Hurricanes, a professional hockey team, on their day off in New York between games against the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers, take a bus for practice from Madison Square Garden at Chelsea Piers.
As there are no locker rooms at Chelsea Piers the team dresses into their hockey equipment at Madison Square Garden.
From Madison Square Garden the team takes an elevator and then boards a bus to Chelsea Piers like a bunch of Pee Wees climbing into their moms' mini vans.
At Chelsea, the team climbs stairs or takes the elevator up to the sky rink.
After practice, they return to the bus and Madison Square Garden, wet and sweaty to shower up.
