Ed Newfeldt, 62, (black hat) and friend Pete Swathwood, 58, eat lunch at the Faith Mission soup kitchen after being laid off from Monaco Coach, one of the nation's leading recreational vehicle manufacturers, after more then 30 years. Both are on unemployment and are volunteers for the mission.

Monaco Coach is one of 10 factories to shut its doors in the area currently with an unemployment rate of more then 20%.
