Baku, Azerbaijan .December 14, 2006..Just a few meters from the British Petroleum's massive multi-billion dollar off-shore platform being built on shore, is one of the poorest districts near Baku. Most of the residents are refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh region settled here during the war...Children make their way to the school after leaving the school playground that is ringed with garbage and mud and has an old oil derrick at the end of the field.
