Slavic Village is a neighborhood that has been hit hard by the mortgage crisis. Predatory lending and foreclosure have wiped many houses as the city is now very aggressive at demolishing homes that are abandon and derelict.
Some thrive as residents take to the streets on a hot July evening while others have seen every home on the street leveled.
