The rig will be part of an elaborate oil drilling platform - one of 5 now on-line in the Caspian sea for BP and the Azeri government. This oil will flow down the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil export pipeline, connecting Caspian oil to a Turkish port at Ceyhan and western Europe.
