Baku, Azerbaijan <br /> December 13, 2006<br /> <br /> An off-shore oil rig run by SOCAR, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan. It is, as most Azeri rigs are; old, out of date and rusted from top to bottom. It produces a small amount of oil for domestic market. <br /> <br /> Since British Petroleum has come on line with its' rigs in Azerbaijan there is now more funding for repairs on these old rigs and the worker's pay has slightly increased.
