Baku, Azerbaijan .December 14, 2006..Just a few meters from the British Petroleum's massive multi-billion dollar off-shore platform being built on shore, is one of the poorest districts near Baku. Most of the residents are refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh region settled here during the war...Children leave the school playground that is ringed with garbage and has an old oil derrick at the end of the field.
