War In America-Walter Reed Patients
Hanover, Maryland.USA.March 23, 2007..Soldiers injured in the Iraqi war are taken by Walter Reed Medical center for a day trip out of the hospital to the Arundel Mills Mall. Most are recovering from wounds and this is one of their first trips outside the hospital since their injury in Iraq. Most are amputees...In the mall they begin to experience life in a normal setting and must maneuver daily life obstacles including being addressed and stared at by people...Gunnery Sargent Marcus Wilson, who lsot one leg from an IED in Iraq shops with his wife and child in the mall.
