At the University of Chicago Medical Center Geraldine Martin, 80 years old, is prepared for open heart surgery to have a valve replaced and hole repaired. She is accompanied by her sister Helen Martin prior to the surgery and performs a basic soothing with her hands of her sisters heart and body.
