Saint Bernard's Parish, Louisiana.May 27, 2006..Linda Manalla, in her 60s, and her neighbor Reagan Cavignal 7 years old, who just made her first communion come to watch their home for 35 years be torn down after it was moved off its foundation by hurricane Katrina. She and her husband raised 3 girls in their house and Linda's parents lived just across the street until they died last year a few months before Katrina hit...They have since purchased a home in Slidell. ..FEMA funded demolition teams work at leveling 6000+ homes in St. Bernard's Parish damaged by hurricane Katrina in August of 2005...FEMA is offering to destroy homes for free up until June 30, 2006. About 12 homes are being demolished daily.
