El Paso, Texas

The downtown El paso on a Monday. Most of El Paso's downtown shops are $1 dollar shops catering to Mexicans with trinkets and junk. Items such as blue-jeans cost 3X less on the US side. Most El Paso residents live outside the city center.
An irrigation canal that runs water southeast to Texas farms is all that remains of the Rio Bravo,/Rio Grande. The dried out riverbed marks the US/ Mexican border. There is virtually no border marker as the canal and its fences are the only barrier to slow down illegal immigrants.
